I stayed at the Best Western in Brossard for one night and unfortunately had several service-related issues. The evening prior to checkout, I requested a late checkout until noon (standard checkout is 11:00 a.m.). The front desk employee confirmed this request and noted it in my file. Despite this, the following morning someone attempted to open my room door at approximately 10:50 a.m. Shortly after, a staff member—presumably from housekeeping—knocked on my door. When I explained that I had approval for a noon checkout, the interaction felt dismissive rather than apologetic. Upon checking out at the front desk, the employee appeared confused and acknowledged that the late checkout had not been handled properly by the previous staff member. However, there was no apology offered—only an explanation for why I had been disturbed. I was also asked to provide a reason for requesting a late checkout, which I found unnecessary and unusual, as I have stayed at many hotels and have never been asked to justify such a request. In addition to the service issues, the room itself was underwhelming for the price point (nearly $250). Hallways were indeed noisy. I chose this hotel expecting a better experience than nearby alternatives, but unfortunately that was not the case. Due to the lack of coordination, professionalism, and overall service quality, I would not choose to stay here again.

I'm absolutely loving my stay here! STAFF The manager left a little bag in my room with a couple snacks and a card for my birthday 🎈. All staff are really friendly and understanding ❤️. ROOMS Out of all hotels I've been, this one is by far the cleanest in terms of rooms. I loved that we had bathrobes in our room, so comfy and good to use before and after pool, shower, or hot tub!!! The deluxe room we picked is perfect for couples or best friends. It is 150$/night (March 2026). It has a huge 2-people hot tub in the bedroom. The room is open concept: kitchennette, dining room, living room, and bedroom are all without doors, which i love. And separated is a bathroom with shower as well. BREAKFAST Breakfast is 6-10am. Staff was constantly making sure everything was refilled. The hot part of the breakfast isn't that great: our menu was just scrambled eggs & pork patties and ham. But the scrambled eggs are perfect. And there's a bunch of other food options: bagels, bread, and waffles you can toast, and my God the waffles tasted amazing 😍 especially with the little maple syrup packets 🍁; there's also a cereal bar, and fruits (ours were apples and oranges). Interestingly, they had yogurt cups and raisins, almonds, and coconut sprinkles you could add on top. They also had cold individually packaged boiled eggs. As for drinks, i loved the options: fountain water, orange juice, cranberry cocktail, and something else i forgot, then perculated coffee and decaf coffee. There was also a little box with green tea, black tea and orange pekoe tea pockets (which is awesome but i wish they had more flavors and that the orange pekoe tea was in the percolator rather than a single tea pocket. Oh and the seating area was really really nice: half of it in the sun, half of it in the shade (which i love). There were many many square tables and chairs, a few counter-height tables, and a few sofa tables which were super comfy and luxurious. POOL (& Pool Staff) The pool is huge, wasn't very hot but warm enough. There's a little sauna and a little shower stall that only closes by a curtain, which i hated so i didn't use. I loved the pool room because it's spacious with high ceiling and very big windows, and doors opening to a long narrow area outside. The pool staff were quite awkward though, not sure why! Maybe they were waiting for us to get out so they can put products in? Unsure. The towels weren't replenished. A staff also came while we were in and took all the clean towels and left...? We didn't really understand. 😂 I recommend going to the pool during day time as there's very few people. In the evening, there was wayyyyyyy too many kids cannon balling into the pool and no staff telling them not to. Odd to me that there were a bunch of staff surveilling when there was almost no one, but no staff when there was a bunch of swimmers. Also, during the day, one staff told me to put my hair in a ponytail even though it wasn't in the rules which i had read to make sure i followed them. The pool staff are nice just awkward and watchful. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All in all, absolutely awesome hotel! I am literally planning more to go with my husband for our anniversary mid-March, and again for my best friend's birthday in June! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Nightmarish Experience at Best Western in Tashereau, Brossard In the depths of a frigid January 24th night, I embarked on a grueling seven-hour drive from Ontario to the Best Western in Tashereau, Brossard. Arriving near midnight, I was met not with warmth and comfort, but with an eerie, bone-chilling darkness. As I stepped out of my car, the hotel lay shrouded in blackness, with no electricity in sight. The temperature outside was a brutal -27°C, and inside, the cold was even more biting. The reception area, dimly lit by the staff’s anxious flashlights, seemed more like a scene from a horror film than a welcoming hotel. The staff, visibly flustered, informed me that the power outage had begun hours earlier, and they had no estimated time for restoration. The darkness was complete no emergency lights, no functional elevators, just an unsettling silence broken by murmurs of confusion and discomfort. Led to my room, I found it freezing, the darkness so thick that I stumbled multiple times. The room itself was a chilling sight: stained sheets, musty carpets, and outdated, worn furniture. The bathroom was no better, and even the simplest comforts were denied. As the night dragged on, I realized that the hotel had no contingency plans for emergencies. The lack of communication, the freezing conditions, and the overall neglect left me feeling stranded and disappointed. When the power finally returned around 2 a.m., the relief was short-lived. The cleanliness of the room was questionable at best, and the breakfast the next morning was nothing short of disappointing. The eggs were tough and unappetizing, the sausage rubbery and flavorless, and the pastries looked stale, as if they had been sitting out for days. Even the simple act of toasting bread became a challenge, with the toaster malfunctioning and the yogurt and juice appearing old and unappealing. This stay was a stark departure from the hotel’s usual reputation. I left feeling exhausted, disappointed, and wary of ever returning.
