Pros: - Nice walkable campus with lots of food options available nearby - Good price - Free parking - Three showers and toilets to be shared by the floor Cons: - No air conditioning or fans, and only small windows that could open. The room temperature was over 30 degrees, and uncomfortably hot. - Very noisy. The walls are very thin, and you could hear everything from nearby rooms. We were also assigned the room next to the washroom and every time someone flushed the toilet it made a loud screeching noise. - Very tight quarters with no room to move around. One chair available. - Pillows were brutal - SO thin. Bring your own if possible. - We called to ask about getting a late checkout (by one hour) and was told that this is not possible. We were scheduled to stay another night but cancelled, and on checkout the person in front of us was doing the same. We would advise staying somewhere else.

We booked first the cheapest version ( rooms with shared bathroom), it was more of a closet than a room, with no AC. So, we went back to the front desk and asked for an upgrade, it went smoothly and student at the front desk were very nice. BUT, the “superior” room was just awful. It’s dark, a loud portable AC. The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was dirty, hair in the sink, the bathtub was clogged, meaning while showering, water comes to your knees !! The price was around 180$ which “not cheap” for a residence. We seeking a back to students life experience!! But this just inhumain to expect 2 students to live in a such small space, and it’s crazy to think that people would come back once they experience how dirty is the place. It’s so unfortunate .

I do not recommend this place at all. The rooms were not equipped with air conditioning, which made it very difficult to sleep at night. Additionally, the washroom facilities were below standard—the shower drained very slowly, and the toilet I used was not functioning properly.

I booked six nights at this residence for an academic conference because the price was so incredibly cheap. I will NEVER do this again. Here's why: I'm writing this review on night 3 of my six night stay. Things were okay during the first two days, aside from the fact that the room was small and that it smelled musty, I did not mind given how cheap/inexpensive the rate was. However, by the third evening (i.e., today), several bus loads of what I suspect are high school soccer players arrived. Suddenly (and while I was taking a shower), the hallway and bathroom were packed with a bunch of 13-16 year olds with far too much energy. They were shouting, jeering, singing poorly, and BANGING on doors. One was even banging on the door while I was showering. The worst part is that there were "adult" chaperones with them, but even several of these adults looked like they just barely older than the teenagers themselves (e.g., early 20s). The adults were simply not reigning in the behaviour of the kids. I went to the front desk to complain but they said there was nothing they could do. I cannot believe they would do this (e.g., book a bunch of rambunctious teenagers in rooms next to other guests). The respectable thing would be to ensure that these soccer teams have a whole floor to themselves so that they don't bother the other guests, but it is clear and obvious that management decided they want to maximize revenue at the expense of the guests. And yes, I talked to another guest - he apparently ALSO complained to the front desk just moments before I did. This means I am not the only person on this hallway that is being bothered by the rambunctious behaviour. It is unfortunate that management could not source another room for me to stay in as I had requested (they said that all the rooms were booked this weekend). I understand that. But at the very least, they should have offered me some sort of discount or compensation (e.g., money back for 1 or 2 nights given that these rambunctious kids will be here for two nights) so as to defray the cost of me renting a room in a different (quieter) hotel WITHOUT disrespectful teenagers shouting, jeering, and banging on doors.
