I find the negative reviews for this hotel very puzzling. I've read some that say the hotel itself was excellent but didn't care for the location so instead of knocking off one star, they unfairly rate it only one star. Others who have one minor inconvenience and rather than rate the hotel on the experience as a whole, they distill it down to this one minor detail and their entitlement to perfection only allows them to leave one star. My experience was quite the opposite! I thought the hotel was excellent! I travel very often for work and this was the first time in a long time that I felt hospitality was the main focus of the hotel. The staff was excellent, the woman who checked me in was fantastic and every one I talked to was very kind and very professional. The room was spotless and had a nice view of the courtyard next to the hotel. Parking was easy as there is an attached parking garage that is even heated! Overall this experience was excellent, I will absolutely be coming back!

Stayed here for work. I had a corner King room. Quite nice. Good views. The materials were high quality and it has been renovated recently (compared to similar budget hotels in Canada). Could not hear any noise from the bars or restaurants at ground level at all. The city construction outside did wake me up, but not much the hotel can do about that. Excellent location for taking the metro. Good restaurants nearby and an event center. Service was excellent. Shout-out to Maylane Pham and Sheena Bennett who provided great help to me. I will be staying here again and recommending it to my coworkers. Very satisfied.

Although the hotel itself is nice I have never before experienced such poor customer service. There was lack of transparency in the booking process. The booking link was misleading in that it provided a last day for reservation but no information on cancellation or any direction to refer to the group booking contract. When I reached out a week prior to cancel the first of two nights of our stay (because my husband had to work a paramedic shift that evening) I was told I would be charged the full fee. The sales manger told me she would return my call but didn’t, even after I called again the following week and left a message. When we arrived I was told we were marked as a ‘no show’ for the night before (even though I had obviously called to cancel on many occasions) and was told that they would have to check if a room was available for us. Then they tried to charge me an early check in fee even though they were making me pay for the night before. I will not be staying at a Marriott again or recommend it for group bookings.

I recently returned from a weekend getaway to Montreal with my family, and this hotel proved to be an excellent choice in every way. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The location is surrounded by great amenities, and reaching Montreal’s main sightseeing spots was easy, even with the city’s heavy traffic.
