This adorable hotel is the perfect location in old city. You step outside and are in a hallmark movie. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in a suite, its small but has 2 levels and plenty of space for a small family. The free breakfast is also great. Delicious croissants. The negative- we stayed in room 101, the foot traffic is loud..like wake you up all night loud. I also had NO idea it was a pet friendly hotel and would not have booked if knowing that. The first night I thought a rambunctious kid was above us at 6am when we all got woken up for the day. The second night I heard barking and at 6am it literally sounded like furniture was being thrown around. We all got woken up again at 6am with this dog running around his room all morning. The walls are also thin as I heard a whole conversation the night prior of a women being cold loudly on her phone. So I wish they didnt allow dogs or only kept them on the 1st floor because anyone below a large dog will not sleep.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is conveniently located near attractions. Our room was small but clean, and the service and facilities were very good. There’s a cozy lounge near the lobby, and water, coffee, and tea are always available for guests. The only downside was the noise—we could hear the neighboring room’s door opening in the evening.

We loved our room and how close the hotel was to shops and restaurants - 10/10 for convenience and location. The room service was great and even while it was cold out the room stayed comfortable with only radiator heat. I would say the only downside was the noise from the other rooms. I could hear people walking in the room next to us and above us - as if they were right in the room with us. Luckily, we were not in our room much, but when you are trying to go to sleep or just waking up , it's a little annoying. I attribute the noise to the wooden floors which may be original to the building. So while the floors gave the room nice charm - the walking sounds come with it.

My wife, daughter and I, along with a close friend, stayed at Auberge Saint-Pierre for three nights in the lead-up to Christmas last year. We used to live in Ottawa but moved back to Australia nearly twenty years ago. This was our first visit to Quebec City, and I’m delighted to say that our stay was genuinely one of the highlights of a long-planned return trip to Canada. The location of the auberge is about as perfect as it gets. Directly across from the Museum of Civilization and right in the heart of Lower Town, it offers the best of both worlds — immersed in the historic beauty of Old Quebec, yet removed from the busier, more tourist-heavy Upper Town. It feels authentic, charming and wonderfully atmospheric. We had booked a suite for my wife and me, and a separate room for our friend and daughter. We’d requested proximity, and were thrilled to find the rooms were adjoining. The suite (more of a loft style) was stunning. The beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable. There’s a coffee pod machine — which, to Aussie coffee snobs like us, isn’t revolutionary — but it’s still far superior to what you typically find in North American hotel rooms. A large bath in the bedroom area was a playful touch, even though we didn’t end up using it. The bathrobes provided were quite possibly the nicest I’ve ever worn (I’ve since purchased one myself), and both rooms were impeccably clean. Breakfast each morning was more than adequate, and the croissants with peach and maple jam are something we still talk about. We even bought a few jars to bring back to Australia — and I suspect we’re not the first guests to decide the bathrobes and jam are worth enjoying long after the stay ends. The restaurant located off the foyer is another standout. We ordered room service two of the three nights and couldn’t fault the food. Be warned — it’s a popular venue with locals and clearly a place where the beautiful people dine. It’s not your typical hotel dining room, so perhaps don’t wander down in your bathrobe and flip-flops. We did encounter a billing issue discovered a few days after checkout, where our Amex had been charged for items already settled on another card. The language barrier made initial discussions a little challenging, but to the auberge’s credit, the matter was handled professionally and resolved in full. We are more than happy to leave a very well-deserved five-star review. We’re planning a return trip to Quebec City and the Maritimes in about 18 months — this time in summer or fall — and we won’t even consider staying anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so memorable. And by the way, Quebec City in the weeks leading up to Christmas must surely be one of the most magical places on earth. Highly recommended.
