This hotel... what can I say? Know of a place where it's an income property and the owners know it and do the bare minimum to keep it generating income? This is that hotel. It's basic. The furniture could be more inviting in the room so a guest and a plus one could sit and watch tv (my room had the bed, end tables, and a desk with chair... that's it). There were water stains in the ceiling, and the first room had its toilet seat be partially detached (the front desk changed our room once we pointed out the toilet seat). Breakfast is basic. The parking lot had been plowed, but just enough for guests to get in and out. Maybe there had been salt. The lot could've been plowed better. The thing going for the hotel is location - super easy to get in and out of, and everything is relatively close by, right next to a police station.

The hotel is in the east end of Ottawa, just before you enter the Montreal highway..if you are coming from the west and our travelling towards Montreal and Quebec City and you need a stop over for the night, it is a recommended place.. Plenty of parking, Breakfast was not up to the mark, Price is okay CAA membership gets you 20% discount. It is a 3 star or 2 star hotel and your expectations should be accordingly. The room were spacious the price was $180 for one night.

I don't even know where to start, first off, the second we stepped into our room it smelled terrible, like smoke and cleaning product, front desk never answers their phone....that's if the phone in the room actually works. Our room was also infested with ants and garbage was left at the elevator all day. We accidentally plugged the toilet and needed a plunger, we'll don't expect any help from housekeeping..........anything after 5:00 there is only 1 employee for the entire hotel. Anything goes wrong, like a plugged toilet and it's a self serve kinda thing. Don't count on fitting anything in that mini refrigerator either......mini doesn't even begin to describe it. Shame on you Quality inn. Will never stay here again.

This is a terrible hotel, even for the chain standard. This was my second and final stay here. There are very few parking spots for Choice members. The staff is either great like my check-in clerk, or terrible like everyone else. The hot water comes and goes - and not at prime time, I mean in the early afternoon. When I complained, the terrible front desk clerk sent the housekeeper to "check it out" - I guess in case I was lying. Of course, she did nothing except tell her colleague that there was no hot water. The breakfast offerings are acceptable but they run out of things frequently and most of the food is not worth eating. As a Diamond member, I would have appreciated an upgrade - and there were very few guests, so I could have been accommodated. There is a laundry room, but the front desk staff have no cash float, so you need to have $8 in change as there is no change machine and no-one can help. The staff is the real problem here - other than the check in clerk this time. The woman who checked me in last time was nowhere to be seen, so perhaps she's been terminated - which would be a good thing. The morning front desk guy was equally as terrible so maybe he'll find a better job soon too.
