The house is wonderful, the staff surprised me. I have never been in such a place before. The interior is incredible, it was like walking through a museum. There is an atmosphere of friendship and unity. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and there are plenty of power outlets. The receptionist gave me everything I needed before check-in. Thank you for everything.

I originally booked a two-week stay but ended up volunteering for a full year, which says a lot about how positive my experience was. The location is excellent, with everything close by. The volunteers and staff are welcoming and make you feel like part of a community. Room prices are very reasonable, and the hospitality is consistently great. Even if you’re shy at first, they genuinely make an effort to help you feel comfortable and included. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Ottawa.

Hiya ! First Time I actually feel the need to leave a comment hehe I'm a 20 yo solo traveler and I've had the wise idea (ironic) to look a the comments yesterday right before going to sleep : not exactly the best night of my life as a result. I've read a lot about people describing feeling unsafe in the neighborhood and uneasy around a rude staff and guests. As for my personal experience: I'm an early bird, meaning I easily find myself wandering in the streets at 6 am and the most unsafe I've felt in two days was around a chill dude who was walking his pitbull (reason being that I'm not the biggest fan of dogs in the first place). As for the guests : they were very nice to me and the staff super friendly and multilingual! Overall a great experience ! Not to discredit the other comments, perhaps my own experience was different because I came during winter. But especially for the price I paid I would definitely recommend this place :)) Hope this helps !
