Lovely experience from a 3-star hotel! Remember to put up the brown sign if you want services like having your bed made. The beds are on the softener side and pillows are on the higher side. Good for side sleepers like me but partner liked the lower pillows and the mattress that are more firm. Every staff including the breakfast staff (thank you Ryane!) made us feel welcomed and were so helpful. Great view and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Sandman will always feel like a first love for me—a quiet, practical kind of love that opened up a whole new path of discovery. The first Sandman I stayed at was in Mississauga, Ontario, and that’s where it all began. It wasn’t flashy or dramatic, but something about it clicked instantly: the no-nonsense check-in, the straightforward layout, the sense that this was a hotel that understood people who just wanted things to work. I didn’t need chandeliers or designer chairs; I needed ease, warmth, and a soft place to land, and Sandman delivered that in its own modest way. By the time I met Sandman again in Montreal, it was the second day of the trip and I was deep in a fight with my friend—for reasons I honestly can’t even remember now. I let him handle the check-in while I stood back, watching him struggle through an awkward tango with the receptionist. It only took me stepping forward for everything to suddenly become easy breezy—forms done, keys in hand, tension slipping just a little out of the air. This Montreal Sandman wasn’t trying to impress anyone. It was an old building with simple decor, the kind of place that feels lived-in rather than curated. The weather outside was brutal—harsh wind, unforgiving cold, the kind that makes your face sting the second you step out. Yet somehow, that night turned into one of the most fun, carefree nights I’ve ever had in Montreal. The pool and sauna were nothing special, just average facilities doing their job, but that was exactly the point: Sandman isn’t about spectacle, it’s about making the in-and-out of travel feel smooth, light, and stress-free.

I had a fantastic stay at the Sandman Hotel Montreal Longueuil. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Check-in was impressively fast and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The room was spotless, very comfortable, and equipped with plenty of amenities that made the stay even better. As a Diamond Member, I really appreciated the extra care and attention—they definitely went the extra mile. Overall, an excellent experience and I would absolutely stay here again!

We booked a room for 4 people. The service at the front desk was very good, however once we arrived in our room, it was a completely different experience. The carpets were not cleaned and there were used coffee cups and dishes left from the previous guests. After we reported this to reception, they moved us to another room, but it was even more unsanitary (see photos). The beds were not clean, the shower had hair, moisture and visible dirt stains, and there were even leftover snacks from previous guests on the floor. Despite all of this, hotel management refused to offer a discount or a refund. Very disappointing experience — we expected much better standards of cleanliness and customer service.
