My first experience with this hotel was coming off of a 6+ flight from Ontario and then the GPS misrouting me, not once but, twice when the hotel was already in sight. The entrance to the parking lot was extremely hard to find and not well marked. Upon arrival staff was friendly and got me checked in quickly and easily. I found the rooms were very dated. Old school wall heater / AC that seemingly had two settings…on or off. Didn’t matter how much I adjusted the temperature it was either too hot or too cold. Room furniture almost appeared hand made but did the trick. The couch wasn’t exactly comfortable but I wasn’t expecting luxury. I got a room with a “city view” but I guess when the hotel is only 4 stories you won’t get much of a view unless it sits on one of Vancouvers highest peaks. I found this hotel was far away from almost everything, including what I was in the city for. But that’s not the hotels fault. Breakfast was decent no complaints there, they had a nice little breakfast area on the main floor which made for a great start to the day.

The hotel is conveniently located near Braid Sky Train station. My stay in this hotel was incredibly beautiful. The breakfast area and gym are located on the ground floor. Continental breakfast is provided everyday. The housekeeping went above and beyond keeping our room clean everyday. The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient. A special thanks to Jatin, Navpreet, Amanjot, Nav, Monika and Raghuvir.

Misleading policies, filthy room, and hostile staff This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced and nearly ruined our family trip. When we arrived, the room was in terrible condition. The bed sheets were dirty and wet, the heater was broken, the bathtub was clogged, and the room smelled overwhelmingly of cheap, harsh bleach, clearly used to mask other issues. It was obvious that areas had been painted over mold rather than properly repaired. The room did not feel clean, safe, or maintained. I wanted to cancel immediately and leave. I was told that I could not cancel the first night, but that I could cancel the second night under their 24-hour cancellation policy. The staff explained this in a way that strongly implied I would not be charged for the second night if I canceled it. Based on that understanding, I told them I would book another hotel for the second night. What was never clearly explained is that their cancellation policy is separate from their refund policy, and that they apparently do not issue refunds under any circumstances. This was extremely misleading. If that had been clearly stated, I would never have booked another hotel. At 10:30 PM, I received a text saying they were refusing to refund the second night. I went to the front desk around 11:00 PM to ask for clarification. The staff member spoke to me in a condescending and dismissive manner, said it was “not up to her,” and then refused to discuss the issue further. She went as far as to threaten to remove me and my family from the hotel at 11 PM. I was there with my wife and my 3- and 6-year-old daughters. Being threatened with removal late at night, after being misled about cancellation terms, was completely unacceptable and deeply upsetting. Between the unsanitary room, broken amenities, misleading communication about cancellation, and hostile staff behavior, this stay was a disaster. I would strongly advise families and travelers to avoid this hotel.

I was honestly shocked by how dirty and poorly maintained this hotel was. The room had red stains on the walls, paint splattered all over the baseboards, wax on the floor, stained sheets, holes in the walls, and a toilet that wouldn’t stop running. There was also an unpleasant smell in the room. Because of how bad it was, we asked to see another room, but that one had issues as well, including a strong odor and problems with the connecting room. We checked out after about one hour because it felt completely unhygienic and uncomfortable to stay. The staff told us that the manager would check the room the next day and let us know whether we would be refunded. Instead of any follow-up or communication, three days later they charged my card anyway. This was completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The condition of the room alone should have warranted an immediate refund, but the way this was handled afterward is what really crossed the line. We were clearly misled, ignored, and then charged anyway. This feels dishonest, and I would strongly warn others to avoid this place. I will be pursuing this further, because no one should be charged for a stay they couldn’t even tolerate for an hour
