Beautiful hotel, very rustic cozy charm feeling. Rooms were quite nice, nothing super special to write home about but they were clean and lovely. Pool was nice, hot tub was a good warm but not hot by any means. And the sauna was like warm at best. The food in their dining room however was amazing, very very good. And dinner in the wine cellar is an amazing experience. Great attentive staff, could probably use nicer blankets for how cold it is down there. Lovely place to stay

The location is great, down in the valley fromLake Louise ski station (opposite hill than Lake Louise Lake). The hotel is a mix of motel (near highway) and old charming lodge, this is not a luxury Relais Chateaux more a charming bygone magic experience. It's near everything but away from the crowds. The service is simple and nice, the English and Australian crew are stellar. There is a micro ‘village’ 5’ walk away for food books gears. The ski shuttle is great up to the Lake Louise ski station. Cons - The rooms are super run down. Agree with some other reviews the service is way too laid back for a Relais Chateaux and lack basic training fif they want to be that type of hotel. Hard to get any good advice on local activities or hikes, would benefit from a specialist on site. The dining room is charming but underwhelming and price are insane, better to go to their Outpost pub with better quality price and service. This place would benefit from a good overall management and update to go back to the level it was few years back and worth the price point and up to its legend. Still it's a magical place just lower expectations ;-) and enjoy the views.

What an incredible experience. We booked a weekend away for my husband’s birthday and could not be more impressed with the level of personalized service, exceptional food, and good amenities. One of our favourites was the library on the 2nd floor and the fireplace in our room. Creating a romantic get away. Thanks for making this trip so special. We can’t wait to come back!

I love to stay in hotels. I definitely rate this a 5. The rooms are cozy with a rustic warm feeling. The service was so great - tea time is the best time. Definitely try the hot chocolate. Honestly it was the best hot chocolate I have ever had - the effort is there. The pool is beautiful with peaceful windows that bring in the light. We ate at the restaurant and again there is a lot of integrity in the quality of food they plate-up. My only disappointment is that I haven't stayed previously.
