Moved into 66 Broadway June 2011. Since then, the building has completely taken a downturn. Sketchy residents, thefts in building. Roaches, mice. The maintenance workers are above 80 years And are as sweet as can be, but no longer can do the proper work. Recently, my car was broken into in the parking garage because there’s absolutely no security in the garage. There is video surveillance that no one will look at if any incidences happen. And security is on site, but they are useless and they sit on the main floor in a chair. The only positive is that it is rent controlled and I pay really cheap rent for a pretty good apartment. But the moment I leave, they will renovate it, and raise the price to about 2000. Is it worth it living here? For the location yes but at the same time the amount of construction on the street is angering so many people that I would say stay away.

I can write a novel and have this published in a month with the amount of issues this building has. I'll start off by saying they had a few suspicious fires that happened this past year. No communication nor were there any safety protocols afterwards. The elevators have been dysfunctional since April 2022. On most days, people are often standing for 20-30 minutes waiting for an elevator. The Property Manager and Administrator are very incompetent and do not know how to comprehend. They also cannot understand or read dates. My fiance submitted the required paperwork near the end of February to move out on April 21. She went down a week before her move out date just to make sure everything like the elevator was confirmed. They responded back by telling her they have no records of any elevator booking under her name. We had to literally show her the original forms. They did not want to put any effort to try to find a resolution. Instead, they mentioned that there was an important insurance executive that had the same elevator time slot that my fiance requested and we were also told to work around it. Unacceptable behavior and very unprofessional. On the day of the move, some elevator technician was refusing to let my fiance use the elevators as property management decided to book the elevator technician for the morning to do some servicing. I'm so glad she has finally moved out of this poorly run building.

Superintendent is condescending and rude. They only care about surface look of this apartment and waste money on redoing interior design for pictures. This building has cockroach and mice infection problems. There's cockroaches in the basement by the lockers/laundry room. Every few times I go down to do laundry, there's a cockroach either in the laundry room, crawling on the laundry machines or in the locker room, crawling on various surfaces. Some resident even found mice in their penthouse unit!!!! The groundskeeper lady is nice and have long been suggesting that elevators get replaced but the management is cheap and does not care about residents. So they're only repaired poorly. Often 1 or 2 out of 3 elevators get broken and it's impossible to use the elevator. Not everyone are able to walk up the stairs!!!!! Since covid packages are also getting thieved by other residents in the same building. How disgusting is that? Avoid this place because the management is cheap, go somewhere that cares more.

I resided at 66 Broadway Avenue, and my experiences with the office building have consistently been unpleasant. Upon each visit, I find myself consistently redirected to someone named Athena. Regrettably, she exhibits extreme rudeness, an unwillingness to accept responsibility, and a tendency to blame tenants. Her communication, be it through email or otherwise, is saturated with negativity, anger, and lacks understanding, assistance, or accountability. It leaves me uncertain whether I'm corresponding with a human or a robot. Adding to the discomfort, the building has a long history of unwelcome roaches, and the elevator usage has been nothing short of a true nightmare.
