A very homely kind of place right in the centre of Banff town - we didn't have a car so the central location was very useful for us. The hotel's a bit of a maze but easy enough to navigate. Room was large and very comfortable. Not much of a view was we were facing the inner courtyard but we didn't spend much of the day at the room anyway. The staff were probably the best out of all the hotels on our Canada trip (around 5 of them) - very friendly with excellent local knowledge. The included buffet breakfast was delicious - not the biggest spread but had all the right components and more than enough for us.

Very walkable location for shops, restaurants, and attractions. The rooms are nice and clean. The bathroom vanity had a lot of space. There is no air conditioning, but there are fans. Beautiful views from the room and balcony! There is an underground parking lot that is still accessible during the road construction, however the stalls are on the small side and there aren't enough stalls for all the rooms in the hotel, so plan accordingly. Would definitely stay here again!

The only reason I wouldn't give this a great rating is so it won't be booked up when we want to come. The people at the front are so nice , the rooms are clean, the location is downtown walkable everywhere. We come yearly to celebrate xmas and bring our fur babies. They provide xlarge kennels with nice beds in them and a small area for the pups to use for emergency, before you get them out for a big walk I truly love this hotel from the staff to the rooms.

Stayed here 3 times over 30 years the last time was 2025. The staff are very helpful and the position of the hotel is very close to the centre of Banff (100yds). the rooms seem a bit dated and could do with a makeover in my opinion. The buffet breakfast area was kept clean and tidy and they stocked a good selection of food that was re-stocked quickly if anything ran out.
