First time in Montréal, went here for a concert at Place des Arts. For what it is, it's probably the best place you can find for cheap if you're only staying for a few days or like me just for a day. It's close to Old Montréal and many more if you're not picky. The staff speaks both French and English, so you can get by with your requests. Thankfully, I had a friend who speaks French on my behalf, and I appreciate his effort. The rooms are passable, like I said, more than enough to accommodate a few people. It includes breakfast at around 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. But I never tried the breakfast since my train at Gare Centrale leaves early. A quick note the washroom is a shared washroom. Not all rooms have it, and the shared bathroom is at the 2nd floor, and there's two of them. If you're someone who needs to use the washroom a lot, this place may not be for you, you can pick something else. However every room comes with a sink so you can do your dental hygiene in your own room. My personal rating. 6.5/10 It won't "wow" you but it's more than serves its purpose as a "place to stay".

⛔️🚫The worst hotel experience of my life. The hotel is old but livable; however, maintenance is poor and cleaning is nonexistent. From the bathroom to the floor and bed, the cleaning conditions are terrible. Given the state of cleanliness, this place should not be open to the public. It's a public health hazard! ... The breakfast leaves much to be desired, as it is quite limited and there aren't enough dishes for the guests. This hotel manages to have guests because, like me, we made the reservation and payment online, and when we arrived at the hotel, we couldn't cancel because the payment was non-refundable. A real shame, considering the location is undoubtedly fantastic! The displeasure and disappointment are quite visible on the guests' faces!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! "I had to buy a set of sheets so i can sleep and both cleaning products to clean the bathroom!"

In the picture of the hotel room, there were 2 queen sized beds and a large room. However, when we got to the hotel, there was 2 different rooms, one room had uneven floors, poor quality and dirty bathrooms, and a dirty room. The other one actually had a view but had one bed, was extremely cold (in Canada) and the bathroom was probably the nicest part of the room. The location was great, but we did switch hotels to a much better and CLEANER hotel. The lady at the front desk was un comprehensively slow and it had taken us an hour and a half just to get to checked in (we were 2nd in line). The breakfast was good, I guess but I personally wouldn’t ever go back. Stay at your own risk. There’s a chance you’ll stay in a hostel-like room.

I was skeptical at first. We stayed in the budget room meaning we did not have a private washroom. Mostly it was no issue during our stay just one incident was faced when the previous person did not tidy up after using the washroom. That aside, we had a window view of the street. We were close to so many shops like Chinatown and more! The breakfast consisted of cereal and toast. (Peanut butter, Nutella or jam) There was orange juice, and coffee with option of cream, milk and sugar. We were disappointed as we hoped for something more like eggs and beans. Overall had a good experience here and recommend anyone looking for a cheap stay in a good location near the downtown area.
