I recently stayed at Best Western and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The staff’s behavior was unprofessional and discourteous throughout my stay. As an elite member, I expected at least a basic level of recognition and service standards, but the staff seemed unaware of how to treat loyalty members appropriately. There was no acknowledgment of membership benefits, and simple requests were handled with reluctance and indifference. Additionally, the attitude displayed by some team members came across as arrogant rather than service-oriented. Hospitality is built on courtesy, honesty, and respect — qualities that were noticeably absent during my stay.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. Our state was very good. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were modern. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated. Rooms were well appointed, nothing fancy but nice. Beds were super comfy. Nice selection of pillows also. And most importantly the hotel was very clean. Our room was very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has become my go to hotel when in the city for work. It’s perfectly located for me and close to the amenities I need. The rooms are clean and modern but lack power outlets at the desk, I had to unplug the coffee maker to be able to plug my computer in. The shower was a bit low on water pressure but that was a minor detail. Unfortunately breakfast isn’t included in the stay at this, or most, hotel in Montreal. I simply grabbed breakfast elsewhere enroute to my destination but if you have the time, and don’t mind paying, breakfast at the hotel is about $12. I do like that, for warmer weather stays, the hotel has an outdoor sitting area in the back so you’re not constantly cooped up in your room.

It’s a dated building but they’ve put some effort into making the rooms a bit better. The room was spacious with high ceilings which felt nice and there’s still a window that opens (thank goodness!) for fresh air. The beds were fine but the pillows were a bit lumpy. The shower didn’t have much pressure but everything else was fine for our needs. Hotels don’t seem to include extra blankets anymore so we asked for one and for the first time in our entire traveling experience, we had to go down to get it. Also, unlike Alberta, it seems common practice to charge for the continental breakfast in Quebec and this one might be acceptable if it was included in the room price but at $12 plus tax each, the breakfast wasn’t worth it unless you’re desperate for convenience. So, the hotel is fine depending on your needs and expectations.
