We recently stayed at Sandman Hotel and had a mixed experience. Our first night was great — the room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the location. The beds were cozy, and everything felt clean and welcoming when we arrived. The next morning, we headed out to Guildford Town Centre for some shopping. Unfortunately, when we returned, my 10-year-old daughter realized she had forgotten her wallet in the room. She had $200 in it — money she had saved herself from birthdays and special occasions. When we checked, the $200 was gone. Before leaving that morning, I made sure the room was tidy (as I always do wherever we stay), and we specifically did NOT put out the “refresh room” sign because we didn’t need housekeeping. When we came back, someone had clearly been in our room. The beds were not made, there were only two towels left (no floor towels), and things had been moved. When I brought it to management, I was told there was an “error” with the room being cleaned and that a “personal item was on the bed,” which is why it wasn’t made — but there was absolutely nothing left on the bed when we left. It felt dismissive and brushed off rather than taken seriously. It’s really upsetting because the location is great, and my kids genuinely enjoyed the stay. But we left with a very disappointed daughter. The hardest part was hearing her say, “Maybe whoever took it needed it more than me.” No child should have to learn a lesson like that on what was supposed to be a fun trip. I truly hope the hotel reviews their housekeeping and security procedures so this doesn’t happen to another family.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Showers are awesome. The highlight of this hotel is the awesome front desk staff and general manager. Lisa(GM) has been so helpful with any needs during my stay and the front desk staff, Aman, Christian, Sunday and Rachel are always fantastic to interact with, this is a great team. Location is good, easy hwy access and walkable to Restaurants and Grocery store.

Both days I was greeted by Aman with a smile and professionalism. The rooms were nice, clean and well kept. Staff was readily available and helpful when needed. When I travel for work I try to stay at Sandman hotels as they keep a high standard that I have come to expect and appreciate.

The hotel was spotless and very clean. The staff was exceptionally friendly and very welcoming. Aman the front desk agent was very friendly and approachable. Wonderful service. The room was spotless and perfect. The room was cleaned by Tetiana. 5 star review the full way
